Management Team

Latens has a strong management team, which has a wealth of experience, including running broadcast operations as well as supplying and implementing CA systems. Below are the biographies of Latens key personnel.

 

Carmi Bogot, President

 

Carmi Bogot - President, LatensCarmi joined the Latens Management Team in 2011 and has a history of successfully working with Pace, SanDisk, and others helping them introduce new products and services into the content delivery market.

Before being appointed President of Latens, Carmi was CEO of Bogot Consulting LLC, working with various high tech companies; Pontis, Discretix, Infinite Memories, JVP, and others providing consulting and in many cases taking a lead role with product design, marketing, business development and sales activities.

Prior to founding Bogot Consulting, Carmi spent 18 years working with the NDS Group (1991-2008), the last 12 of those years as VP.  As VP Sales & Business Development, Carmi's role was to manage the creation of new products and services tangential to the NDS main product lines. Carmi sold the first digital cable system for NDS, and was responsible for the design and development of the first NDS digital headend system.  In the role of Director DIRECTV Customer Support, Carmi was responsible for global support of NDS' largest customer, DIRECTV.

 

Joseph Deutsch, VP of Sales & Marketing

 

Joseph Deutsch - VP of Sales, LatensJoseph joins Latens' management team from NDS with over 10 years experience in broadcast technology industry and is experienced in International business, marketing and corporate development executive with focus and experience in the digital media and TV markets.

During his time with NDS Joseph held a position on the Executive Team and lead entry into new markets and the adoption of new technologies such as mobile and broadband TV, Over-the-Top video services, Connected TV’s, multi-device DRM and cross-platform services. Joseph also lead the NDS marketing and business plans for the adoption of new technologies such as 3D TV, advanced TV controls (speech, gestures), social TV, contextual TV Apps and other new technologies.

Prior to joining Latens Joseph also held the position of CEO at DigiScents Israel, and President at Immersia Ltd.

Philip Cardy, VP Accounts


Phil Cardy - VP Sales & Director of Product Marketing, LatensPhil joined Latens in 2006 and is a member of the senior management team with responsibility for Latens product development and marketing strategy.

Prior to joining Latens Phil was Contract Manager at Intel where his primary role was to manage software outsourcing.

Phil has built up considerable experience in the software development and telecom technology industries with senior engineering positions in Calix, Alcatel-Lucent and Nortel. He holds an MSc in microelectronics from the University of Ulster.

 

Mark Crum, Director of Product Architecture & Development


Mark Crum, Director of Product Architecture & DevelopmentMark joined Latens in 2003 and leads the software architecture and development teams within Latens. He also is the Head of Latens India and was responsible for setting up Latens' R&D centre in Hyderabad.

Mark has previously held software development positions with Amphion Semiconductors and Nortel Networks and holds a MEng in Electrical & Electronic Engineering.

 

 

Dr.Jean-Paul Heron, Director of STB Integrations


Dr.Jean-Paul Heron, Director of CPE SolutionsJP has been with Latens since 2004, and leads the integration of Latens CAS into STBs and SOCs. Prior to joining Latens JP held the position of Global FAE for Ampion Semiconductor.

JP has a BEng in Electrical & Electronic Engineering and a PhD from Digital Signal Processing group at Queen's University of Belfast.
